We are a non-profit 501(c)(3)
organization. Our main goal is to adopt animals to permanent
homes. PRN began in August of 1998 and since then, our group
rescues an average of 800-1000 pets a year. We pride ourselves
in being a 'grass-roots' organization, solely run by volunteers and
donations.
We rely heavily on private donors,
adoptions and fundraisers from our sponsors to help offset our
expenses. Our expenses include medical care, food, kennel
upkeep, insurance, travel costs, equipment, utility bills and
everything else needed to care for nearly a thousand animals per
year. For more information about donating, or
volunteering, please check out our donations
page.
Our adoptable animals come from
various locations, however, the majority of our animals are from
local sources. Most of the adoptable animals we receive are
either owner relinquished or from shelters where they are at risk of
being euthanized.
We do not take in stray animals for
various reasons. For questions about how to deal with a stray
animal you may have, please refer to your local animal control
agency. |
